Dispute Resolution Seminar: Evolving Theories of Justice

Explores how legal systems understand conflict, harm, and violence and how emerging frameworks seek to respond more effectively than existing criminal and civil processes alone. Introduces four evolving approaches to justice: Indigenous peacemaking & global justice traditions, restorative justice, transformative justice, and transitional justice. Analyze and compare philosophical foundations and legal and practical implications of each framework.
