LAW B 520 Trial Advocacy

Credits: 2-6, Max 6

Instruction in the fundamental skills of trial advocacy. Develop case theory and trial skills including opening statements, direct examination, cross examination, closing arguments, objections, submitting evidence etc. The class meets once a week as a large group for lecture. Students then meet in small lab sections with a team of two experienced trial attorneys or judges to practice skills and received feedback. These lab sections meet in the law school building or in off- campus locations. Enrollment may be limited. Offered on credit/no credit basis only. Recommended: LAW B503 Evidence (prior to or concurrently with Trial Ad 1).
