International And Foreign Law Research

Overview of international and foreign law materials. Examination of primary materials in the vernacular and in translations: constitutions, charters, codes, administrative rules, cases, treaties and other international agreements. Focus on practice tools: directories, guides, treatises, digests, and proceedings. Includes specialized research topics such as human rights, transnational business law, and international taxation. Prerequisite: A506 Legal Analysis, Research and Writing or an equivalent J.D. course or the permission of the instructor. The grade in the course will be based on research assignments and projects. There will be no examinations.
