LAW B 564
Women, Poverty, and Natural Resource Management Seminar
Credits:
2-3, Max 3
This seminar focuses on the links between women, law, and land and natural resources, and poverty in international development. We will look at why focusing on women and men within a household yields different development results than focusing on households as a unit; why land and natural resource rights are critical to economic development and household food security in developing countries; and the role law can play in supporting women's rights. The course is intended to look at these issues through the lens of a legal practitioner engaged in international development.
