Tutorial In Comparative Law

Individual research project, handled on a tutorial basis, involving an area of law of mutual interest to student and teacher. In the case of a student whose basic training was in a civil law jurisdiction, the subject matter of the tutorial is a topic selected from the law and the practice of the United States; in the case of a student whose basic training was in a common law country, the subject matter of the tutorial is a topic selected from the law and the practice of Japan or of another country in East Asia, depending on the student’s linguistic competence. In any instance, the tutorial discussions may be comparative, drawing on the law of more than one country.
