This course discusses participants, legal structures, processes, and documentation for the completion of common commercial real estate transactions, including purchases and sales, mortgage loans, leases and real estate joint ventures. Students will develop a basic understanding of legal issues that commonly arise in real estate transactions and the roles played by legal, brokerage, title, escrow, engineering, environmental, insurance and lending professionals in resolving them.
