LAW H 570 Bio-entrepreneurship and the Law

This course covers the legal issues in “Bio-entrepreneurship”--the translation and commercialization of basic life sciences research into innovative health, industrial, and energy products and services. We track the development of a biotech product through a venture capital backed start-up company. Areas of focus include: intellectual property; corporate and securities law; regulatory law; and some employment law. Grading is based on drafting legal documents and a final exam. Open to Law students, and other graduate students on permission of instructor.
