Marine Law And Policy Seminar

This seminar provides an opportunity for research and study in selected legal and policy issues relating to coastal and marine resources, protection of the marine environment and marine trade and transportation. Each student will complete a legal research paper for presentation to the seminar. Students will also review and comment on papers prepared by others enrolled in the seminar. Completed research papers satisfy the advanced writing requirement for J.D. students. This seminar is open to second and third year law students and to School of Marine Affairs (SMA) graduate students, with instructor permission. Prior or concurrent enrollment in Admiralty law, Law of the Sea or U.S. Ocean and Coastal Law is encouraged.
