Forensic Musicology

Prepares students to work closely with forensic musicologists. Examines historical development of role of forensic musicologists and provides an overview of the techniques employed by them, including comparative key-compensated transcription, repertoire research, waveform and spectrum analysis, audio phase cancellation, pitch shifting, digital time stretching, audio watermark detection, and reverse engineering.
