Low Bono Legal Research

This hands-on research course teaches students the methods and skills for performing ethical, thorough, and low-cost legal research in a small firm or solo practitioner setting. Through readings, weekly reflections, in-class experiential exercises, and multiple substantive research projects, students develop essential research skills for successful practice in a broad range of legal fields and settings without relying unnecessarily on expensive commercial research platforms like Lexis and Westlaw.
