LAW E 554 Technology Law And Public Policy Clinic

Students will receive clinical training in legislative and public policy advocacy under the supervision of a member of the law school faculty. Students will receive instruction in legislative process, drafting, commentary and advocacy, appellate advocacy, and professional responsibility concerns. Students will participate in a carefully supervised practice experience relating to representing the public interest with respect to law and technology. Students will work with federal and state government entities and relevant consumer and nonprofit public interest organizations on a variety of projects including legislative drafting, commentary, drafting of amicus briefs, assisting nonprofits with research and support for projects relating to technology and legal services for underrepresented or indigent communities. The only co- or pre-requisite course is E554 Law Technology and Public Policy, offered during autumn quarter. Enrollment is limited to 8-12 students. Offered on a credit/no credit basis only. Enrollment priorities for clinics apply.
