LAW B 541 Chinese Law

Introduction to the basic institutions and processes of the legal system of the People’s Republic of China. The course will focus on the contemporary system and its role in relation to political, economic and social developments. Some attention will be given to historical background. A paper in lieu of a final examination may be required, depending upon enrollment and instructor preference. Joint offering with JSIS A 541.
