CASRIP Summer Institute

Summer Institute faculty include distinguished visiting professors, such as Professor Martin Adelman from George Washington University, patent examiners from the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office, and experienced government officials and litigators from Seattle, Silicon Valley, and Washington, D.C.

The CASRIP Summer Institute is the benchmark for intellectual property summer programs in the United States. Directed by world-renowned University of Washington professor, Toshiko Takenaka, the Summer Institute teaches the fundamentals of patent prosecution, patent litigation, and technology licensing and management, from a comparative law perspective.

Experts from around the world will discuss the future of multinational litigation and standard essential patents; Microsoft v. Motorola, Bowman v. Monsanto, Myriad and other cutting-edge legal issues in intellectual property law and innovation.
