Volunteer Opportunities

1L Mentor

Consider coaching a first year student. A kickoff event is held in the fall to meet your mentee(s). Regular meetings and communication through the first year of law school is arranged directly with your mentee, based on your schedule.

Moot Court Competition Judge

UW Law's Moot Court Honor Board relies on volunteer attorneys to provide judging and feedback for our in-house competitions. Volunteer judges provide valuable feedback that helps students improve their advocacy skills.

Venue Host

Provide a venue for an alumni event, can be a law firm, museum, restaurant, house, etc.

Event Host

Host an event by contributing to the cost of catering or the venue.

Keynote Speaker

Deliver remarks on a timely topic or relevant subject at an event.

Panel Coordinator

Recruit and coordinate the panelists for a program.

Brown Bag Speaker

Speak to a group of students about relevant experience during lunchtime programs.

If you are interested in volunteering for any of the opportunities listed above or have other ways in which you would like to volunteer for the UW School of Law, please contact the Office of Advancement ().
