Giving Societies

Our alumni and friends demonstrate the significance of leadership giving and inspire others to follow their example. UW School of Law has established giving societies to recognize the variety of ways that our alumni and friends generously support their law school in both annual giving and lifetime giving.

Lifetime Giving

Lifetime giving to the UW School of Law is recognized with deepest appreciation in the annual report published in the UWLaw Alumni Magazine and permanently honored on donor walls at the law school at the following cumulative outright, pledged, and deferred giving levels:

John T. Condon Society

The Condon Society was founded in 1999 to celebrate the 100 year anniversary of the UW School of Law. The Society is named in honor of John Thomas Condon, Washington pioneer, Founder and first Dean of the UW School of Law. Founding Society Members, Benefactor & Laureate Members are honored on the John T. Condon Society Donor Wall in William H. Gates Hall.

Marian Gould Gallagher Society

The Marian Gould Gallagher Society recognizes donors who have given $15,000 or more to the UW School of Law Library. The Society is named in honor of Mrs. Marian Gould Gallagher for her 37 year tenure as the Law Librarian and Professor of Law. During her time the law library tripled in size and the outstanding service ethic of its staff became legendary throughout the U.S. The Marian Gould Gallagher Law Library and giving society carry on Mrs. G�s legacy. Society Members are honored on the Marian Gould Gallagher Society Donor Wall in the Law Library in William H. Gates Hall.

The Henry Suzzallo Society

The Henry Suzzallo Society honors individuals who have provided a testamentary or planned gift to the UW School of Law. Membership in the Suzzallo Society is a way for UW Law to thank and recognize donors now for their commitment to make a future gift.

Annual Giving

Annual giving to the UW School of Law in a fiscal year (July 1 to June 30)�is recognized in many ways, from acknowledgment in printed materials to signage in the Law School to special receptions with the Dean, visiting scholars, and guest lecturers.

Young Leaders Circle

Recognizes alumni who have graduated within the last decade and have contributed $100 or more for each year since graduation.
