Life Outside the Classroom

Law students may be notoriously busy with school, but that doesn't mean life stops outside the classroom. Take an urban city, set it at the water's edge and in the shadow of mountains and you have one of the most livable cities in the U.S. Combine the opportunities found in a major city with an active student body and the result is a vibrant community in which to participate academically and socially. Our community includes the university and the surrounding city, which are alive with intellectual, cultural and social possibilities.

University of Washington Campus

Just beyond the walls of William H. Gates Hall is a campus full of artistic, cultural, athletic, intellectual and social opportunities. Experience artwork, music and drama at The Burke Museum, Henry Art Gallery, Meany Hall for the Performing Arts and the Schools of Music. Cheer on the Husky football team. Exercise your own body at the Intramural Activity Center, which offers a regular schedule of athletic and fitness classes, and intramural sports. The UW Student Activities Office registers nearly 450 voluntary student organizations across campus, which include honorary, professional and social organizations; service and coordinating clubs; sports, performing and recreational activity groups; and religious and fraternal organizations.
