IFAP Celebrates 10th Anniversary

The Hon. Margaret McKeown, Judge for the U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, will be speaking at the Immigrant Families Advocacy Project (IFAP) 10th Anniversary event, May 2, 2006 at Perkins Coie, Seattle.  The reception begins at 5:30 p.m., followed by the keynote address at 6:15 p.m.

Judge McKeown was appointed to her current seat by President Bill Clinton in 1998 and was the first female partner with Perkins Coie in Seattle and Washington, DC.

IFAP is a student organization that assists immigrant victims of family violence as they petition for permanent residency in the U.S.  The organization works closely with the Northwest Immigrant Rights Project and pro bono attorneys from the community.

The UW School of Law community is invited to attend.  RSVP to, as space is limited.
