Emily McReynolds is the Managing Fellow for the Tech Policy Lab. She has a background in international law, specifically E.U./U.S. data protection. In addition to managing the Lab, her research interests include data privacy and the intersection between corporate data collection and its use by third parties.
Emily earned her J.D., with honors, from Seattle University with a focus on intellectual property. She became interested in law and technology issues after attending a presentation on Creative Commons while earning a Master's Degree in International Economic Law in Brussels, Belgium.
Prior to her graduate studies, Emily worked with nonprofits on their grant applications, grant reporting and marketing.
