Law Practice Innovations (Winn)(Aut-Win-Spr 1-1-1)
This course provides a framework within which students may learn about law practice innovations by conducing unstructured interviews with UW Law School alumni or other practicing attorneys. Students will be provided training in interviewing and background information on changes in American law practice. Interview subject contact information will be provided by the Law School, or students may identify subjects they would like to interview. Student interview notes will be collected, anonymized and analyzed as a group activity. Interview data will be anonymized before publication to protect the identities of both the interviewer and subject, and a final summary of the results will be shared with interview subjects in Spring 2015. Credit/no credit assessment will be based on class participation and interview memos. The course will not meet weekly, but instead meet for 2 hours at least 3 times per quarter during Autumn, Winter and Spring quarters.
