Race Judicata 5K raises $3500 to support student public interest health
More than 150 UW School of Law supporters ran or walked in the second
annual Race Judicata 5K on Sunday, October 21, 2007. The event was
sponsored by the UW Student Bar Association, UW Student Health Law
Organization, UW Public Interest Law Association, and the Washington
State Bar Association Young Lawyers Division.
Angela Wishaar, a first-year student at the law school, was the top
finisher for the women with a time of 20:21. The top finisher among the
men was alum Levi Larson, a member of the UWLS Class of 2007, with a time
of 18:16. King County Superior Court Judge William Downing, with a time
of 25:52, was honored with the "Fastest Judge in Seattle" award.
Funds raised at the event will support a grant from the UW Public
Interest Law Association to a student engaged in summer work that is
geared toward public interest health law.
