Congratulations graduates!

On Sunday June 14, 2009, the UW School of Law awarded degrees to 184 J.D., 52 Tax LLM, 42 IP LLM, 17 Asian and Comparative Law LLM, and one PhD graduate. The commencement address was presented by Washington State Attorney General Rob McKenna. Lonnie Rosenwald '94 presented the Alumni Salutation following the Faculty Salutation by Professor Robert Aronson and student salutations by Miles Hawks '09 and Jason Sykes.

Two 2009 Class Gifts were presented by Amelia Kegan '09 and Dylan Orr '09 to Interim Dean Greg Hicks, one for the the Loan Repayment Assistance Program and the other in honor of classmate Ben Athay. Athay, a member of the Class of 2009, died unexpectedly September 1, 2007 from an undetected brain hemorrhage. The Public Interest Law Association also presented a gift for $10,00 for LRAP.
