Vis Team 2006

The Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot is an annual moot court competition devoted to the law of international trade. In the 2006 competition, 156 universities from 49 countries participated in the event, which is held during Easter Week at the University of Vienna.  The University of Washington first became involved in the Vis competition in 2006 through the efforts of two pioneering coaches, Prof. Julia Gold and renowned arbitrator David E. Wagoner.  Four students represented the University of Washington School of Law in the 2006 competition: Mohamed Rali Badissy, Caitlin Aiko Harrington, Levi Larson, and Kirtland Marsh.

ViennaThe Vis Moot is sponsored by the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL), which is headquartered in Vienna.  Co-sponsors of the competition include the University of Vienna Faculty of Law, the American Arbitration Association (New York), the International Arbitration Centre (Vienna), and the International Chamber of Commerce (Paris).
