GENERAL INFORMATION

Signing up
Sign-up sheets will be posted outside the MCHB office on the first floor. ALL PARTICIPANTING TEAMS MUST SIGN UP AND PAY $50. This includes those who are in Trial Advocacy. The deadline is 10/26/07. Payment by CHECK must be received by this time. The check can be delivered either to the office (please knock) or to the MCHB mail box in the general mailbox room.

Space Limitations
Only 32 students other than those who are taking Trial Advocacy can participate in this competition. Please sign-up early.

Rules
View current Mock Trial Rules
PLEASE NOTE: The rules change slightly from year to year, and each year there are some that catch people by surprise so please read them carefully. For example, all teams need to provide two witnesses for each round. The plaintiff’s side will need to provide a bailiff. Don’t miss these rules!

Moot Court Honor Board Membership
Two outstanding participants from this Mock Trial Competition will be selected for the Honor Board. This selection is based on overall individual scores, and will not necessarily be individuals on the winning team.

Drop Out Deadline
We are expecting that we will have more applicants than spots for this competition. As a result, any team dropping out after 10/26/07 will be barred from participating in future moot court events. Please sign-up only if you actually intend on competing.

Workshop Sessions
We will soon be putting together lunchtime workshops. Attendance is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
