2/26/2008 - LSRJ Hosts Marcy Bloom for Social Justice Tuesday
LSRJ will present Marcy Bloom, former executive director of Aradia Women's Health Center and U.S. Capacity Officer for Grupo de Informacion en Reproduccion Elegida (GIRE) or Information Group on Reproductive Choice. Ms. Bloom received the 2006 William O. Douglas Award, the ACLU of Washington's highest honor for outstanding, consistent, and sustained contributions to civil liberties. Ms. Bloom will talk about Mexico's recent decision that decriminalized abortion during the first twelve weeks of gestation and what that means for access to reproductive health care. More info
