Robert Aronson

The University of Washington School of Law invites you to join in celebrating the installation of Robert Aronson as a Betts, Patterson & Mines Professor of Law.

photo of Robert AronsonRobert Aronson is a nationally recognized expert in professional responsibility, ethics, evidence, criminal law, and sports law. He has published five books on professional responsibility, including a law school text, and his book, The Law of Evidence in Washington, is one of the leading treatises on the subject. He joined the UW law school faculty in 1975. A former president of the Pac-10 Athletic Conference and chair of its Compliance & Enforcement Committee, he currently serves on the editorial board of the International Journal of Criminal Law Education and the Washington State Bar Access to Justice Committee. He has been a commissioner on Uniform State Laws, chaired the Washington Appellate Defender Association, and served on the Washington State Legislative Ethics Board.

The installation ceremony will include Professor Aronson's lecture "Winning at All Costs: Ethics and Integrity in Law, Sports, and Film" in the Magnuson/Jackson Courtroom, Room 138, William H. Gates Hall, School of Law, and a reception in Room 115.
