Scott L. David
Scott David joined the UW School of Law as the Executive Director of our Law, Technology & Arts Group.
Scott's practice focuses on intellectual property and technology counseling and transactions, and he has become a leading expert in these areas nationally and internationally. Scott has been a partner at K&L Gates (formerly Preston, Gates & Ellis) since 1992. Prior to joining K&L Gates, he was an associate at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett in New York.
Scott's involvement in the law, technology, and arts arena is impressive. He has been active in the World Economic Forum (Davos), Identity Commons, ABA Cyberspace Committee, and Dorkbot (technology/arts organization) among other activities. He has also served as an external board member of our Law, Technology and Arts Journal since 2008.
Under Scott's leadership LTA works to undertake new initiatives, form new partnerships, and build on the many current successful LTA programs to advance the UW School of Law as a national and global leader at the intersection of law and technology.
