Professor Boxx joined the UW law school faculty in 1997. Her teaching and research interests include estate planning, trusts and estates, community property, and federal taxation. Before joining the faculty, Professor Boxx was in private practice in Seattle for fourteen years, focusing on estate planning, probate, non-profit organizations, and family business planning. She is a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel, has served on the executive committees of the Real Property, Probate and Trust sections of the Washington State Bar Association and the King County Bar Association, and is currently the Secretary of the American Civil Liberties Union of Washington. In 2006, Professor Boxx was selected by Washington Law and Politics as a Washington Super Lawyer.
