LAW A 568 Collective Bargaining And Labor Arbitration
Credits: 2-4, Variable
A problem-method approach to the negotiation and enforcement of collective bargaining agreements. Students participate in individual and group negotiations and prepare a brief and a decision in an arbitration. Some attention is given to the law governing bargaining and arbitration, but primary emphasis is on practical application of the law rather than on the law itself. As a result, it is strongly recommended that students take either Law A553 Sex, Gender, Sexuality: Law and Theory or Law A554 Labor Relations and the Law.
