LAW A540 Land Use Planning Seminar

Legal principles of, and constitutional limitations upon, certain systems for public regulation of the use of private land, especially urban land. Primary attention is given to the law of planning and zoning, with secondary attention to subdivision controls, environmental legislation, urban renewal, eminant domain, and the law of nuisance. Instruction is directed at the level of legal principles that govern operation of these systems, powers of public agencies, and rights of individual landowners.
