Introduction to the international legal system. Coverage includes sources of international law, creation and continuity of states, the rights, duties and jurisdiction of states, international organizations, the relationship between international and domestic law in the U.S. and resolution of international disputes. The course also provides selected coverage of several substantive international law topics. Those topics vary from year to year. Prerequisite: Law A507 or equivalent course in U.S. constitutional law.
