Judicial Externships
Externships are available with many state and federal judges during the summer and
throughout the school-year, in the greater-Seattle area and around the country.
Making a decision to apply and determining to which judges one should apply calls
for planning and strategy. Students who are considering a judicial externship are
encouraged to meet with their professional development coaches soon to discuss their
plans and to have their application material reviewed.
Court-specific application instructions and availability of externship positions
are available for Seattle-area courts listed at the bottom of this page. These charts
are updated as information becomes available. Students interested in other courts
should contact those courts for their application procedures.
