Are you interested in the rights of construction workers to get paid? The property rights of owners who contract for construction work? The policy questions involved where these rights conflict? Then please join the UW School of Law Workers' Rights Clinic as we host a discussion on the policy issues behind the mechanic's lien statute in Washington State. The forum will include speakers who will approach the law from a variety of perspectives, including how the law benefits vulnerable workers, the impact on property owners, the law and economics perspective on the statute, and any potential ethical issues facing attorneys working in this area. All are welcome to attend on February 15th from 1:30-2:45p in Gates Hall Room 138
