Admitted Students

Congratulations on your acceptance to the UW School of Law! We hope that you will join us in Seattle this fall. Your experience at the UW will be an intellectually exciting and uniquely satisfying journey. At the UW, we see the law and our profession as key ingredients to building community. Modern legal practice is a team-oriented approach to solving problems, not simply a study of adversarial conflict. The UW School of Law is more than a collection of students, staff, and professors. Each day we strive to become a community where each person recognizes her or his responsibility not only for self, but also for the institution, and, for the world beyond the academy.

You have many choices among American law schools. The University of Washington is a special place because of our location, size, and outstanding students, dedicated staff, and extraordinary faculty. You have the opportunity to become a member of this extraordinary community, one committed to both academic and professional excellence and to public service at the highest levels. We hope you will choose to join our thriving community.
