The Washington Law Review is a scholarly legal journal run by students of the University of Washington School of Law. The Law Review is made up entirely of second- and third-year law students - about 50 students total. The majority of students on the Washington Law Review are invited to join after their first year of law school on the basis of their first-year grades, their performance in a writing competition, or a combination of both.
In addition, the Law Review admits a small number of students who have written outstanding analytic papers during their second year of law school.
