Membership on the Washington Journal of Law, Technology & Arts
All University of Washington School of law first-year law students and second-year law students enrolled in joint-degree programs are
eligible to apply for membership on the Journal. The Journal selects ten new members annually. Factors considered in evaluating applicants
include: cumulative J.D. grade point average; performance in the Melissa S. Landers 1L Writing Competition; and an optional statement of interest.
All applicants must participate in the Melissa S. Landers 1L Writing Competition. The competition occurs annually during the two-week
