  • Tuesday, October 7, 12:30-1:20pm, Room 127- Social Justice Tuesday: Pro Bono at UW Law- Get Trained, Do Pro Bono, Make a Difference: Learn about the Pro Bono Program at UW Law and hear from student leaders about why and how they do pro bono and how you can do it too. All are welcome!
  • Saturday, October 11, 8:30am-3:00pm, Room 127- Annual Pro Bono Core Competencies Training. Are you new to law-related pro bono assistance? Ready to hit the ground running and want to make a difference? Join us for UW Law’s annual training that covers the basics of working with low-income clients and across difference, basic interviewing, professionalism, and issues of trauma and crisis. The core program is then followed by a training for students interested in volunteering with the Immigrant Families Advocacy Project. Check the school’s events calendar for more info about other student-led pro bono project trainings. All are welcome! This training is required for membership into the Pro Bono Honors Society at graduation.
  • Saturday, October 11, 8:30am-12:00pm, Room 117- Advanced Pro Bono Legal Assistance Workshop. Returning law students with experience providing law-related pro bono assistance will have an opportunity to reflect and develop greater awareness and tools to address issues of bias, cultural and cross difference competency as well on issues of compassion fatigue and secondary trauma. All are welcome!
  • Saturday, October 11, 1:00-5:30, Room 117- Leadership Development Workshop. Join us for a crash-course in leadership and management fundamentals and the nuts and bolts of running a student organization at UW Law and beyond. This workshop is ideal for law student pro bono projects and other student-led organizations. All are welcome!
  • Tuesday, October 14, 12:30-1:20pm, 1st Floor Galleria- Social Justice Tuesday: UW Law Pro Bono & Externship Fair. Come meet with representatives from over 40 local legal and government organizations about opportunities for service. All are welcome!
