Law School to Host Justice Sandra Day O'Connor this November
The UW School of Law is proud to host retired U.S. Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O'Connor November 4, 2006 as part of the law school's Public Service Law Fair. The first female Associate Justice of the U.S. Supreme Court, Justice O'Connor was appointed by President Ronald Regan and served on the nation's highest court from 1981 to 2006. In 2004, Forbes magazine called her the fourth most powerful woman in the U.S. and the sixth most powerful in the world. Justice O'Connor retired from the court in 2005.
