School Hires Assistant Dean for Development and External Relations
On April 11, Paul Moredock joined the School of Law as the assistant dean for development and external relations. He replaces John McNamara, who passed away on Dec. 29.
“Paul’s broad experience, strong management skills, positive attitude, and more than passing familiarity with our university and law school community make him an excellent choice to continue our alumni and friend development efforts,” said Dean W.H. Knight, Jr. (Joe).
Moredock joins the school from Lewis & Clark College where he was the associate vice president for alumni relations/development. During his six years at the school he also served as director of alumni and parent programs and as a senior major gift officer. Previously he worked for United Way in Portland, Ore., as the vice president of allocations and annual Campaign. Moredock received his bachelor’s degree in psychology from Chico State College, and a master’s degree in counseling from California State University, Long Beach.
“I am delighted to have the opportunity to return to Seattle and work with a wonderful team of alumni, faculty, and professional staff at the School of Law,” said Moredock.
Moredock will oversee the external relations and development department and will be responsible for helping the school meet its $70 million endowment campaign goal.
