Search for New Law School Dean Underway
The search for a new UW School of Law Dean is underway and members of the the Dean's Search Committee have met with alumni, staff, and faculty to provide updates and solicit suggestions. The committee has received nominations for over 50 internal and external candidates so far. They are pleased with the number and quality of the nominations and are in the initial process of contacting the candidates, checking references, etc. Staff, alumni, and faculty are encouraged to help identify additional candidates. The committee expects to conduct 8 – 10 interviews in the fall with the goal of bringing 3 – 5 finalists on campus in January. A new job description has been posted on the Provost's Office website.
