Online poker players face new Prohibition

Jason Sykes, a first-year law student at the UW, had been playing online poker in his Seattle apartment when he learned that if he placed another bet online, he faced a felony charge. After he quit playing in June, he found the Poker Players Alliance Web site, and now said he's starting his own local chapter. His strategy is to put a referendum on the 2007 ballot and overturn the Washington state law. (August 27, 2006)
