As the first program in the U.S. focused solely on developing competence in U.S.-Asian law problems, the ALC was a pioneering program. Founded fifty years ago, with just one faculty member, it is now an international hub of legal thinking. The impact of the program is felt around the globe, with multiple generations of graduates serving as leaders in business, government and academia.
