Tori Ainsworth '15 Wins Inaugural Malcolm Edwards Award for Best Appellate Brief

Second-year law student Victoria Ainsworth received the inaugural Malcolm L. Edwards '57 Award for Best Appellate Brief. The Edwards Endowed Award was created in 2013 by Howard Goodfriend '84 and Catherine Smith '79 of Smith Goodfriend, P.S., to provide a lasting honor to the “dean” of the appellate bar in Washington State, Malcolm L. Edwards '57. The endowment will provide an annual cash award for a first-year UW School of Law student who submits the best brief through the annual 1L Appellate Advocacy Competition
