Cary Alan Johnson, Executive Director of the International Gay and Lesbian Human Rights Commission (IGLHRC), will speak about the global movement for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender rights on Friday, February 12 in William H. Gates Hall Room 138 at 12:30 p.m.
Johnson is an author and activist with more than 20 years of experience in the LGBT movement and in African social and economic development.
He has worked in management positions for Amnesty International-USA, Africare (Rwanda and Zimbabwe), UNHRC (Democratic Republic of Congo), and Planned Parenthood (Southern Africa).
IGLHRC's mission is to advance human rights for everyone, everywhere to end discrimination based on sexual orientation, gender identity, or gender expression.
