UW second-year law student Hai-Ching Yang (front row in black suit) joined Justice Sonia Maria Sotomayer in a celebration ceremony following Sotomayer's appointment to the Supreme Court of the United States.
Justice Sotomayor was at the Southern District Court of New York to watch the Senate vote for her confirmation.
Yang was the inaugural Hon. Charles L. Brieant Fellow for Chief Judge Loretta A. Preska, United States District Court for the Southern District of New York.
