Conference to Address Racial Disproportionality in Child-Welfare Systems
A conference addressing racial disproportionality in child-welfare systems will be held at the the UW School of Law June 26 and 27, 2008.
Keynote speakers include Washington Gov. Christine Gregoire; King County Executive Ron Sims,
and Washington State Rep. Eric Pettigrew (D). Workshop and presentation topics include the 30th anniversary of the Indian Child Welfare Act, a history of disproportionality in the child welfare system, and uncovering the truth about African
American disproportionality.
