Washington Court of Appeals to hold session at law school

SEATTLE - The Washington Court of Appeals Division I will hold session at the UW School of Law Tuesday, February 27, 2007 in Room 133.  The panel of judges will include law school alumni Marlin Appelwick ('79), Mary Kay Becker ('82), and Stephen Dwyer ('82).  Oral arguments begin at 9:30 a.m..

Attendees are asked to observe the following court etiquette and rules:

  • No large bags or backpacks will be permitted in Room 133, small purses, laptops (turned off) and briefcases are ok;
  • Enter and exit the courtroom between arguments, not during;
  • Enter and exit only at the marked location (the right-hand door of Room 133 as you face the classroom from the hallway);
  • No food or drink in the courtroom;
  • Cell phones and all other electronic devices must be OFF;
  • Anyone entering the courtroom may be subject to search;
  • Out of respect for the court, proper courtroom attire is preferred (but not required).
