On Wednesday, April 6, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit will be at the UW School of Law to hear oral arguments in four cases. The cases involve a warrantless search, a challenge to the U.S. military’s “stop loss” policy of involuntarily extending a service member’s enlistment contract, a challenge to Washington state’s alleged underfunding of a state entitlement program, as well as a challenge to the U.S. Department of Defense ban on insurance coverage for medically necessary abortions for service members and their families.
The arguments will begin promptly at 9 am and end around 11:30 am. The location is room 133, but overflow seating is available in room 138. No large bags will be allowed in room 133. This is a bona fide court session and proper courtroom protocol should be observed.
