Endowed Chair Honors Environmental Law Professors
An anonymous donor bequest to the UW School of Law will establish the Endowed Chair in Honor of Professor
William Rodgers
and Professor Ralph Johnson. The purpose of the endowment is to pay tribute to Professor Rodgers' and the late Professor Johnson's pioneering work in environmental law.

Prosecutors Refile Charges Against Ted Bradford, Choosing His Confession Over DNA Evidence That Excludes Him Courts Previously Overturned Conviction
Prosecutors and defense attorneys today attended a "status conference" in Yakima Superior Court in the case of Ted Louis Bradford, a Yakima man who served a nine year sentence on rape and burglary charges before his conviction was overturned based on DNA evidence.

Witness to journalist's murder in Mexico to speak at UW
Gustavo Vilchis, a journalist from Mexico who witnessed the murder of U.S. journalist Brad Will in Oaxaca, will speak to students Wednesday, October 29 from 7-9 p.m. in Thompson Hall Room 101 on the UW campus. He will be joined by Melissa Mundt and their lecture is part of a tour for the recently published book

UW Law Professor Prevails in US Supreme Court Decision
UW School of Law Professor Eric Schnapper's plaintiff prevailed in
CBOCS West, Inc. v. Humphries
when the US Supreme Court, by a vote of 7-2, held that 42 USC section 1981 forbids retaliation against workers who complain about discrimination.
