Native American Law Center

Special Projects

The Native American Law Center (NALC) is a resource for tribal public defender agencies providing consultation on specific legal issues and the development of materials for emerging tribal defender agencies and practitioners. The Center utilizes student researchers to maximize benefits to tribes. This also provides a real-world experience to students interested in working with tribes following graduation. NALC is developing video podcasts of trial advocacy trainings for tribal public defenders which can be used for training for attorneys and lay advocates serving as defenders in tribal courts.
