IP Law LL.M. Financial Aid
Scholarships
A limited amount of financial assistance is available to students in the Graduate
Program in Intellectual Property Law and Policy. To be eligible, a student must
show academic progress and be enrolled as a full-time student in the LL.M. program.
Applicants interested in financial assistance should submit a letter to the LTA
Director for Academics requesting scholarship assistance. Because scholarship assistance
is awarded on an ongoing basis, students who wish to be considered for assistance
are encouraged to apply as early as possible, but no later than
the time they seek admission to the Graduate Program in Intellectual Property Law
and Policy.

International Students
International students are advised to write to various foundations and organizations within
their own country to inquire whether any scholarship or grant aid is available for
studying outside of their country.
An excellent resource which may assist in your search for international study scholarship
opportunities is Study Abroad, which is published every two years by UNESCO. Study
Abroad describes all the United Nations and various intergovernmental agency scholarships
available. There are over 500 pages of detailed descriptions of scholarships offered
by each country of the world, either for its own citizens to study somewhere else,
or for people from somewhere else to come and study there. This is followed by information
on specific courses of study offered by the universities and institutes of each
country, specifically designed for, or available to people from other countries.
Study Abroad is available by mail from Unipub, P.O. Box 433, New York NY 10016;
(212) 686-4707.
We also recommend a book, "Funding for United States Study" from the Institute of
International Education. It is available for sale through
Amazon.com. You may also find helpful information on the web site
www.iefa.org.
